- The Almost 5K Poker Fun Run is a family-oriented fun run associated with AuburnFest. This fun run will utilize the new big loop at Les Gove Park. Five loops around is “almost” a 5K (short of a 5K by 1,138 feet). For each lap around the loop, participants will stop, draw a card, and try to get the best poker hand with the five cards drawn.
The Fayetteville 5K Poker Run started in 2011, when a local runner heard about a charity poker run for motorcycles. She quickly realized it is a happy coincidence that there are 5 cards in a poker hand and 5 kilometers in a 5K, and that the format would translate well from a motorcycle to legs. Fayetteville 5K Poker Run - March 8th Come join us on Saturday, March 8th, for the 4th annual Fayetteville 5K Poker Run. Start and finish will be at the Fayetteville Square, and an after race party will be held at West Mountain/Tim's Pizza, where winners will be announced and prizes will be won!

RACE TIMING
This race will be chip timed using disposable chip technology by RFID Timing. Timing chips are on the reverse side of your race number. Race numbers should be worn the correct way up, pinned to the front of your shirt and worn over your belly button. Results will be available live at the results kiosk on a big screen TV.
