February 29, 2016 – Vernon, BC – Lake City Casinos, through its corporate giving program GatewayGIVES, today announced their partnership with the North Okanagan Neurological Association`s Build The Clubhouse Project.
“The dedication of NONA to children and youth with special needs, and their families in Vernon and throughout the North Okanagan is amazing. The new facility will allow them to offer greater assistance and make a substantial difference in the lives of their clients,” said Ryan Doherty, General Manager of Lake City Casinos in Vernon.
The GatewayGIVES commitment of $10,000 to the Build the Clubhouse Project will not only get their staff involved but the entire community can come out to help. The month of May will be NONA month at Lake City Casino Vernon. They will be hosting a variety of fundraisers, such as a silent auction dinner and a BBQ in order to meet their fundraising goal.

Over the years, the number of children NONA serves has increased from a few dozen per year to well over 700. They have now outgrown their existing space. The Build the Clubhouse Project has been formed to help build a new $1.6 Million facility to provide comprehensive services for children and youth with a variety of special needs.
